The Silverstone 2025 was a race full of challenges and excitement. The weather was tricky, the track was wet, the tires were not helping, and a lot of other things. But as the race went on, Lewis Hamilton could not catch up to Nico Hulkenberg, who finished third and got his first-ever podium in F1.

Starting on the fifth, the race began strongly for Lewis Hamilton as he challenged Lando Norris for position. While he kept himself in contention for the title in the opening laps, his progress was interrupted by several safety cars that came. As conditions worsened, he worked his way up to the top five, overtaking Pierre Gasly, but could not take over Nico Hulkenberg, who gave a career-best performance.

Hamilton has been finishing on the podium in every race at the British Grand Prix starting from 2014. However, he finished fourth this time, just missing out on the podium, marking the end of his long and dominant run at Silverstone. This also marks the end of his record of the longest podium streak in F1 history at any track.

This was also his first British Grand Prix with Ferrari, and fans were excited to see him in red, hoping he could finally get that podium. He has been having a nightmare season with Ferrari after his switch from Mercedes. He hasn’t been able to win a single race or even stand on the podium. His frustration with the car was visible as he said on the radio that his car was just undrivable and “snappy.”

Lewis Hamilton finished just five seconds behind Nico Hulkenberg, adding to the unpredictability of the sport. Although Hamilton had been doing great in the practice sessions. In practice session 1, he finished in the first place, while in the second, he finished third. However, with the third practice session, he slowly lost his momentum and finished in 11th place.

As determined as he was to get that pole position in the qualifying, Ferrari decided to pull out a move that nobody saw coming. They sent his car with way less fuel than it’s supposed to have, hoping that less weight can gain them hundredths of seconds. As a result, Hamilton slowly lost power and finished in fifth place.

To add to Ferrari’s woes, Charles Leclerc finished in the 14th position, just ahead of Yuki Tsunoda, who finished last in all the drivers who finished the race.
