Endrick entered the game in the 80th minute to substitute Jude Bellingham. He found the net in the 90+5th minute and broke the record which was held for 29 years.
“I’m very happy with my debut and my first goal in the Champions League in my career. In the league, I think I was one of the youngest to score for Madrid and today too, but that doesn’t matter. The important thing is to help the team”, he said after recording the historic moment.
While Kylian Mbappé scored first for Los Blancos in the 46th minute. In the 68th minute Deniz Undav drew one back for Stuttgart to level the scoreline. Real’s defender Antonio Rüdiger found the net in the 83rd minute. Endrick, who came in the final stages of the game scored in stoppage-time to lead his team to a 3-1 win.
The goal came from the deep, beyond the penalty box as the 18-year-old took upon himself to score.
“I had Mbappé and Vinicius, but the best option was to shoot. When I was about to come on the pitch, Rüdiger told me to be ready to score the goal, ” the Brazilian said about the goal.
This goal from Endrick, and he is only 18.
He had options of passing the ball to Mbappe or Vini.
