Indian cricket team are up against England in the first ODI at The Oval which is currently going on. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first on a bit of green surface. When asked about the playing XI, skipper Rohit said Virat Kohli missed out this game due to injury he sustained in practice session.

Virat Kohli sustained a groin injury during the practice ahead of the first ODI against England. Middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer replaced him (Virat Kohli) in the playing XI. There was an another injury news came from the visitors’ side. Young Pace bowler Arshdeep Singh also missed out on this first ODI against England as he had right abdominal strain. The pace bowler and the former Indian cricket team captain weren’t available for selection for this match. The fans would hope Virat comes back in the team for the second and third ODI. Virat Kohli who is not in a good form lately would be hoping to get some runs in this ongoing 3-match ODI series against England.

Virat Kohli was also picked up for the T20I series against England, but the former captain couldn’t have much impact in the game.
