England and New Zealand are currently playing in the third and the last Test match in Headingley stadium. England is leading the 3-Test match series by 2-0. In the game against New Zealand, England batters named Jonny Bairstow and Jamie Overton showed some class. Both of them scored an amazing innings to stabilize England in this last Test match of the series.

England was put on to bat in the second innings by New Zealand. The host was 83/6 at some point and it looked like the visitors will easily bowl out them. But Jonny Bairstow and Jamie Overton had other plans as both of them hit some amazing shots and played crucial innings which help England take a lead of 31 runs over New Zealand. Jonny scored his third 150+ score in Test cricket whereas pacer Overton scored 97 runs.

Overton gave amazing support to his partner (Jonny Bairstow) but missed out on his well-deserved maiden century in Test cricket. Fans were disappointed to see him going back to the pavilion without scoring a century. Overton hit 13 boundaries and 2 huge sixes in his inning of 97 runs. The pacer was later dismissed by star New Zealand pacer Trent Boult.
