The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the fixtures for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in England and Wales from June 12.

The Groups

| Australia | West Indies |
| South Africa | England |
| India | New Zealand |
| Pakistan | Sri Lanka |
| Bangladesh | Ireland |
| Netherlands | Scotland |
Group of Death
It is hard to tag a particular group as the group of death, as each team in both groups has the ability to get the better of the other on a given day, meaning that every team has to be on top of its game in every match, as being complacent might result in the opposition coming out on top.
The Qualification
Talking about the qualification process for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup, eight teams earned direct qualifications while Bangladesh, Netherlands, Scotland and Ireland have managed to book a spot through qualifiers.
Bangladesh will start their tournament against Netherland on June 14, while they will face Australia on June 17 and India on June 25.
The Teams
Former winners Australia find themself in Group One alongside South Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Netherlands. The remaining six teams, namely West Indies, England, defending champions New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Scotland, are placed in Group 2.

The First
The 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup will witness many firsts taking place, one of which is Netherland’s first ever game in the history of the competition.
Other than that, England will take on Scotland for the first time in a World Cup game in England, be it men’s or women’s. The 12-team tournament will also be thecentr of the Ireland vs Scotland all-Celtic clash.
The Emotion
Talking about the Netherlands’ qualification for their first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup, the team’s captain Babbette De Leede said, “Qualifying for our first‑ever ICC Women’s T20 World Cup fills us with an incredible sense of pride and excitement.”
“It feels extra special because, in many ways, it’s almost a ‘home’ World Cup for us. We’re hoping to see a sea of orange in the stands with our families, friends, fans and everyone who has supported Dutch women’s cricket over the years.
“Stepping onto that stage for the very first time will be a milestone for the women’s cricket in the Netherlands, and we hope it inspires young Dutch players to dream big and believe that they, too, can one day represent a successful national team.”
The Knockouts
The top two teams from both groups will advance into the semi-final to be played on June 30 and July 2, followed by the final at Lord’s on July 5.
