After the test series drawn, and England winning the ODI series 2-1. We now come to the T20 series at the end of the tour. Even though only a single test match was being played no team gave without a fight in the end it became a draw. But in the ODI series, England looked very dominant in the first and second ODI comprehensively defeating the visitors. India tough lost the ODI series but avoided a clean sweep by winning the last ODI of the series.
India-W has won the toss in the first T20 and decided to bowl first. England-W tough had a good start to their innings as they scored 48 runs in the powerplay without losing a wicket. The opening stand was broken by Poonam Yadav by dismissing Danni Wyatt. Just when the India-W is picking wickets at regular intervals. India-W didn’t get a start as they expected, as Shafali Verma was dismissed for a duck by Katherine Burnt in the opening over.
Srimati Mandhana tough looked promising for the knock of 29 runs. The only Indian batsman who looked comfortable against England’s bowling attack. As she didn’t get much help from another batsman as India feel short of 19 runs from the target in the allotted overs.
