The Equestrian Global Champions Tour 2025 is set to take place in the Spanish capital of Madrid from 16-18 May 2025.

The Club de Campo Villa de Madrid will host top equestrian athletes- riders and horses- in one of the most prestigious events in the sport.

Several Olympic champions, Grand Prix winners, and upcoming stars will feature in the competition.

Madrid marks the first European stop on the tour in the 2025 season, following thrilling events in Doha, Mexico City, and Shanghai.

The Global Champions Tour will be staged across 16 destinations, with each athlete aiming to secure a golden ticket to the Super Grand Prix finale in Prague this November.

Equestrian Global Champions Tour Madrid 2025: Stars to watch

The new world number one, USA’s Kent Farrington, will be the top most athlete to look for. He achieved a crucial milestone of breaking the reign of Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann, who had held the coveted position since August 2022.

On the other hand,  Henrik Von Eckermann, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion and 2021 Global Champions Tour champion, will be looking to reclaim his throne  at the Equestrian Global Champions Tour Madrid 2025.

Paris 2024 Olympic gold medallist Christian Kukuk of Germany will make the competition even more relishing. 

Spain’s Eduardo Álvarez Aznar will lead the home charge but it is going to be an emotional ride for him as he bids a heartfelt farewell to his legendary horse, Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Margot.
