The Esports Awards presented by Lexus, the biggest event on the esports calendar, is happy to reveal the complete list of winners from this year’s breath-taking presentation, which took place at Resorts World in Las Vegas. In attendance for the presentation of more than 40 awards in the categories of entertainment, industry, creativity, professional, on-air talent, and college were some of the most well-known organisations, groups, and influencers from the esports industry and beyond.
One of the biggest winners was Riot Games, which took home awards for Esports Publisher of the Year, Esports Broadcast/Production Team of the Year, and Esports Game of the Year for VALORANT. Both the Esports Team of the Year and Esports Creative Team of the Year awards went to Loud.
The introduction of customised Coca-Cola cans with League of Legends Wild Rift themes, Lexus presenting its LC 500 and NX 350 (100 Thieves NX) vehicles, and charity partner Leukemia and Lymphoma Society reaching its $50K USD fundraising goal were just a few of the night’s jaw-dropping occurrences. Legendary hosts Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez and Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere served as the event’s hosts. Special musical performances were made by the rapper bbno$ and the cinematic-rock band City of Sound.
On stage during the ceremony, Matt “MobileMatt” Rutledge made the announcement that the Mobile Awards ceremony had begun. The Esports Awards and Matt Rutledge established the Mobile Awards as a fresh initiative to record, honour, and reward success in the mobile industry.
In 2022, Players won Esport Content Series of the Year
As of 2023, The Mobile Awards will host an annual celebration called The Mobies to honour and recognise innovation and great performance. We set high goals this year to make the 2022 Esports Awards a really landmark event with a larger venue, new awards, and a wider selection of events. As the ceremony comes to an end, I can say with certainty that we have accomplished our goals. It’s fantastic to see such a large crowd assembled to remember such an amazing year. I wanted to extend my warmest congratulations to all of our winners and express my gratitude to everyone who made the 2018 Esports Awards possible. In a year, we’ll meet again. Esports Awards CEO Michael Ashford stated.
