Esports World Cup 2025 Week 2: Key Highlights
Team Vitality Takes the Top Spot
Team Vitality is now leading the Club Championship rankings. Their win in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational gave them a huge boost. The team is competing in 11 different tournaments at the EWC 2025, giving them more chances to stay on top.
Gen.G Esports is currently in second place after winning League of Legends at EWC. They’re not far behind and could take the lead if they keep winning.
Some of the teams that did well in Week 1 are still in the race, but the competition is getting tougher each week.
Club of the Week: Team Vitality
Team Vitality showed amazing skill across different games. In Week 2, they finished 1st in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and 3rd in Free Fire. That gave them 500 points and helped them climb to the top of the leaderboard. Their all-round performance made them the Club of the Week.
Player of the Week: Collapse from Team Spirit
Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov from Team Spirit became the Player of the Week. He played 13 different heroes in Dota 2 during EWC 25 and only lost once. His solid gameplay proved why he’s seen as one of the best Dota 2 players ever.
Match Highlights
Team Vitality’s Perfect Run in Mobile Legends
Team Vitality made history at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational. They didn’t lose a single match throughout the tournament. In the finals, they beat Natus Vincere, who had last year’s winning team (Omega Empress). This was a sweet revenge for Vitality.
Sisters Michelle “Chell” Siswanto and Cindy “Cinny” Siswanto played key roles in the win. Cinny stood out in big team fights and earned the Sony MVP award. The team took home $150,000 for their victory.
Team Spirit Dominates Dota 2
Team Spirit ruled the Dota 2 stage. After winning matches against strong teams like Gaimin Gladiators and PVISION, they swept Team Falcons 3-0 in the grand finals.
Even though Team Falcons had smart strategies in the early games, Team Spirit had better control of the map. Yatoro’s Medusa and Larl’s Storm Spirit led the charge in Game 2. Collapse’s strong and steady play earned him the Sony MVP title. Team Spirit also took home a grand prize of $1,000,000.
Gen.G Wins Again in League of Legends

Korea’s Gen.G proved why they are one of the best in League of Legends. Just weeks after winning MSI 2025, they came to EWC and added another trophy to their shelf.
Even though they were pushed to the edge many times, their calm and smart plays helped them win. Star players like Chovy, Canyon, and Kiin joined forces with Ruler and rising support Duro. Their teamwork was top-notch. Kiin’s outstanding performance earned him the Sony MVP award and $10,000 in prize money.
EVOS Divine Brings the Trophy Home to Indonesia

EVOS Divine became the Free Fire champions at EWC 25. Their consistent performance and smart tactics helped them beat the defending champions Team Falcons.
Even though they didn’t always win matches, their strong overall game gave them the points needed to win the finals. Rasyah “Rasyah” Rasyid impressed everyone with his solid gameplay under pressure and won the Sony MVP award.
