The ESPY Awards 2025 honored the best athletes in the past year at a ceremony on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
This was the 33rd edition of the annual awards show also recognised individuals who contributed to sports in various capacities.
Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley took home the coveted award apart from Los Angeles Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani, NFL MVP Josh Allen, Gilgeous-Alexander of the newly crowned NBA champs Oklahoma City, U.S. Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, and French Open winner Coco Gauff.
Along with athletes and teams being honored, Oscar Robertson received the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage and Penn State women’s volleyball coach Katie Schumacher-Cawley received the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance.
Young sensation Caitlin Clark was named Best WNBA Player, marking a major milestone in her rookie season. Other big winners included Saquon Barkley (Best NFL Player), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Best NBA Player) and Shohei Ohtani (Best MLB Player).
