The European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) 2025 from 20-26 July.
More than 4,000 athletes between 14 to 18 years from 50 delegations will be taking part at the event in North Macedonia.
EYOF 2025 will be the largest multi-sport event in the history of North Macedonia. It is a launchpad for future Olympians to compete, and athletes who hope to take part at the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026 next year.
It is the largest sporting event organized for the youth with 34 years of history. The Youth Olympic Festival was first launched in Brussels in 1991 as a summer sporting competition.
Young athletes will appear in 15 sports, primarily in the country’s capital of Skopje, where the opening and closing ceremonies will also be held.
A total of 11 sports will take place in Skopje, with the North Macedonian city of Kumanovo hosting the basketball, road cycling and mountain biking.
The Croatian city of Osijek will host the artistic gymnastics.

European Youth Olympic Festival 2025: Sport-wise schedule
The opening ceremony takes place on 20 July with the closing ceremony on 26 July. The week-long EYOF 2025 will take place across three cities:

European Youth Olympic Festival
The EYOFis a biennial multi-sport event for youth (14 to 18 years old) athletes from the 50 member countries of the association of European Olympic Committees. The festival has a summer edition, held for the first time in Brussels in 1991, and a winter edition, which began two years later in Aosta. It was known as the “European Youth Olympic Days” from 1991 to 1999.
