The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has started something special. It’s called the ‘Music of EWC’ a fresh new project that brings music into the heart of competitive gaming. The goal is simple: create a sound that fans will remember every time they think of the Esports World Cup.
This music journey officially begins on April 27, with a live recording of four brand-new tracks at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London. These tracks will be made by top music groups 2WEI and Hollywood Scoring, known for their strong, emotional sounds used in films and games.
Fans Can Join and Make Their Own Music
One of the coolest parts? Anyone in the world can join the fun.
Through a special contest on Audiotool (a music-making platform), artists and producers can create their own tracks. Out of all the entries, two winning tracks will be chosen and added to the official music playlist of the Esports World Cup.
These songs will play across:
- Live tournament broadcasts
- On-site events
- Online videos and digital campaigns
It’s a big chance for music lovers to shine on a global stage. The winners will also get:
- 25 limited-edition vinyl copies of their track
- A full one-year studio subscription to LANDR
- Feedback from industry experts who will judge the entries
Entries are open now and will close on June 8, 2025.
Why Music Matters in Esports
The EWCF isn’t just doing this for fun. They see music as a universal language something that connects fans, players, and creators from all around the world. It adds emotion, energy, and atmosphere to the fast-paced world of esports.
This new music program shows that EWCF wants to go beyond just gaming. They want to build a full experience a blend of visuals, sound, and competition that people will remember.

What the EWCF Says
Mike McCabe, the COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, explained the vision behind the music project:
“At its core, the Esports World Cup is about community – a global platform that connects people and elevates talent in all forms. Music of EWC is a natural extension of that purpose, built on the same passion, creativity, and collaboration that define gaming and competition. Music and esports both bring people together, they let us feel the same rhythm, the same energy, wherever we are. With Music of EWC, we’re creating our own voice, sharing a universal language that tells the story of our sport and defines the role of esports in global culture.”
