BCCI announced the 17-man squad of the Indian cricket team for the upcoming two-match T20Is against Ireland on Wednesday, 15th June. Hardik Pandya was named captain of the Indian cricket team for these two matches. Bhuvneshwar Kumar to be vice-captain. Gujarat Titans’ all-rounder Rahul Tewatia wasn’t picked up by the selectors for this two-matches T20Is against Ireland.

After being not picked up by the selectors, Rahul Tewatia made a tweet on Wednesday night saying that he expected a place in the squad but is hurt after not seeing his name.

“Expectations hurt,” tweeted Rahul Tewatia on Wednesday night after BCCI announced the squad on their official website and social media handles. Rahul Tewatia performed well in this year’s IPL. Some of his innings were so good that help Gujarat Titans earn three crucial points. Rahul Tewatia was one of the best finishers in this year’s IPL and won so many games for Gujarat Titans.

No doubt that in Gujarat Titans’ first IPL title, Rahul Tewatia has a big hand and was one of the players who helped the team lift the trophy.
