A New Start for the F1 2025 Rookies, Let’s See Who Impressed, Who Struggled?
The Formula 1 2025 season has already given us five races. This year five new drivers joined the grid. These F1
rookies are Kimi Antonelli, Oliver Bearman, Isack Hadjar, Gabriel Bortoleto and Jack Doohan. All of them had different starts to their first season. Some showed strong results. Others are still trying to improve.
Kimi Antonelli: Mercedes’ Young Hope
Kimi Antonelli has made the best start among the rookies. He is racing for Mercedes in his first season. He has scored 38 points so far. He is sixth in the Drivers Standings right now. He has finished in the top ten in four races. He has only missed points once this season. He is behind his teammate George Russell but his performance has been impressive. Mercedes trusted a young driver and that decision is working well.
Oliver Bearman: A Quick Start with Haas
Oliver Bearman is driving for Haas this season. He showed good speed in his earlier appearances in 2024. Now in 2025 he has scored points in three races. He started last in Bahrain but still finished tenth. He has a total of six points this season. The Haas car is not always fast but Bearman has made the most of every chance. He is doing well in his first year in Formula 1.
Isack Hadjar: Quiet But Effective
Isack Hadjar is racing for Racing Bulls. His season started with a crash before his first race in Australia. Since then he has scored points in three races. He has five points in total. He is also ahead of his teammate in the standings. The Racing Bulls car has been good for a new driver. Hadjar is using this chance well and showing good potential.
Gabriel Bortoleto: Still Chasing Results
Gabriel Bortoleto is driving for Sauber in his debut season, and do not scored any points yet. His best result so far is fourteenth place. His teammate Nico Hulkenberg has already scored points. Bortoleto is still learning at this level. The team believes in his long-term future. But he will want to show better results before the season ends.
Jack Doohan: Under Pressure from the Start
Jack Doohan is also one of the new drivers in 2025. He is driving for Alpine but not scored any points. He is six points behind his teammate Pierre Gasly. Doohan has made a few mistakes in the early races. Before the season started there was already pressure on his seat. He will need to perform better in the coming races to prove himself.
Talent is There, but So is Pressure
The F1 2025 rookie group is facing different challenges. Kimi Antonelli has been the most consistent. Oliver Bearman and Isack Hadjar are doing well. Gabriel Bortoleto and Jack Doohan have work to do. There are many races left in the season. Each rookie still has time to grow and show what they can do in Formula 1.
