F1 Constructors 2025 Title Race: Ferrari’s Climb and Red Bull’s Struggles

5 Min Read

The F1 Constructors 2025 title race saw a dramatic shift after the Spanish Grand Prix 2025. While everyone expected McLaren to stumble after the new flexi-front wing rule at the race, they in fact did not lose their momentum and won the race with a commanding podium, where Oscar Piastri won the race and Lando Norris finished second.

Meanwhile, Ferrari also delivered a strong performance with Charles Leclerc finishing third and Lewis Hamilton sixth, which put them in second position in the F1 Constructors 2025 title race, past Mercedes. Red Bull, on the other hand, witnessed a disastrous weekend where Max Verstappen’s clash with George Russell resulted in a controversial 10-second penalty, earning him 10th position, while Yuki Tsunoda finished outside the points.

As a result, the team slipped to fourth in the standings, marking a significant downside in their campaign. With that being said, the Spanish Grand Prix 2025 was one hell of a race that changed the outcome dramatically, as expected in the beginning, but for totally different reasons. So, let’s look at the full breakdown of the F1 Constructors 2025 title race, team-by-team.

Ferrari: Ferrari had a great weekend at the Spanish Grand Prix 2025, and their comeback is seen as one of the biggest stories of the 2025 season. Charles Leclerc finished second at the previous race, the Monaco Grand Prix 2025, and finished third at the Spanish Grand Prix, marking a resurgence for the team. The team now sits in second place with 165 points, however, they’re just six points ahead of Mercedes, marking an intense battle for second place at the F1 Constructors 2025 Title Race.

Mercedes: Mercedes, led by George Russell and rookie Kimi Antonelli, has been consistent but not enough. They’ve had consistent podium finishes but haven’t won a single race. Kimi Antonelli’s car failure at the Spanish Grand Prix resulted in a major loss for the team since he was doing good at the grid and could have earned points for the team. The team must now find pace to earn its second place back from Ferrari.

Red Bull: Red Bull has won two races till now, with Verstappen 49 points behind Piastri in the driver’s championship. In the F1 Constructors 2025 title race, the team stands in fourth position after their recent struggle at the previous race. Verstappen’s 10th-place finish and Tsunoda’s lack of points have left them at 10th place with 144 points. The team must come up with a better race strategy to regain its dominance, as seen in its previous years.
