F1: Team and players standings before the Monaco GP

4 Min Read

Formula 1 returns this weekend to Monaco. Circuit de Monaco will play host for the Monaco GP. Max Verstappen already has created a small lead for him as drivers gear up for the Monaco GP. Last year Sergio Perez finished first at the Monaco GP as he finished at the pole position. He finished first despite starting 3rd on the grid. The course is designed in such a manner that overtakes are possible and a driver can win the race or even gain some positions even after starting a little back in the grid. In 2021 Monaco GP, Max Verstappen won the race while starting second on the grid.

Charles Le Clerc has been unlucky in Monaco despite starting from the 1st position on the grid in 2021 and 2022 he has only scored combined 12 points. In 2022 he finished 4th while in 2021 he had to retire his car.

Here are the driver standings before the Monaco GP.
