FIFA Best Awards 2024: Vinicius Jr, Alejandro Garnacho Bag Top Honours; Check Full List Of Winners

The FIFA Best Awards 2024 ceremony was staged in Doha celebrating exceptional football performances that were displayed throughout the season. 

The best candidates received awards across eight categories with the introduction of Marta Award through vote.  On the other hand, selections were made for the Best FIFA Men’s and Women’s 11s.

Brazil and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr bagged the title of FIFA Men’s Player of the Year. The 24-year-old scored 24 goals in 39 matches across all competitions. He played a key role in helping Real Madrid secure a La Liga and Champions League double. 

The Brazilian forward was chosen over Spain’s Rodri (Manchester City) and England’s Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid). 

Spain and Barcelona star Aitana Bonmati won the FIFA Women’s Player of the Year award for the second consecutive time. She led Barcelona to a domestic treble and played a significant role in retaining the Champions League title.

Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti was honoured as the best men’s coach for guiding his team to a league and Champions League double victories.

Emma Hayes was recognized as the best coach award in the women’s category for guiding Chelsea to its fifth consecutive Women’s Super League title and leading the US to Olympic gold.

Argentina’s Alejandro Garnacho clinched the Puskas Award for his sensational goal for Manchester United against Everton

Brazil’s legendary Marta received the inaugural Marta Award for the best goal in women’s football for her goal against Jamaica in a friendly earlier this year.

Aston Villa and Argentina keeper Emiliano Martínez emerged victorious in the Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper category, winning the award for the second time, while US Women’s National Team’s Alyssa Naeher was crowned The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper.
