Team of Australia

The team, which is officially known as the Socceroos, is generally controlled by Football Australia, which is, however, affiliated to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), as well as the regional ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). The team is currently led by the head coach, Graham Arnold. However, Graham Arnold has so far proved himself as someone who is willing to experiment and adapt to changes whenever the need arises. According to reports, the team is the only national team who have been a champion of two confederations.

They managed to register the OFC Nations Cup four times (in between 1980 and 2004). Also, they achieved the AFC Asian Cup during the 2015 event on their home ground. However, the Australia National Football team has managed to represent the team for six times at the FIFA World Cup tournament, which were in 1974 and from 2006 to 2022.

Moreover, the team represented Australia at the FIFA Confederations Cup nearly four times. Also, there is a huge amount of hope or excitement invested in the team heading to Qatar. Belonging to the same group of France, the competition can be somewhat complicated for the team. But, they are expected to perform well, thereby setting an exciting match and providing a tough competition to other contenders.
