The FIFA World Cup is so far considered as the most prestigious association football tournament. The longest World Cup winning streak is in the name of team Brazil.
Team Brazil is perhaps said to hold the best overall performance in the World Cup competition, both in absolute and proportional terms, with a record of 76 victories in around 114 matches played, 129 goal difference, 247 points, and 19 losses. Furthermore, this is the only national team to have participated in all World Cup editions, without any absence nor need for playoffs.

Based on rankings, Brazil is considered to have the highest average football Elo rating, as well as the fourth all-time peak football Elo rating, which was established in 1962.
