Check to get a glimpse of the scheduled matches, position of players and some of the top-players of Poland National Football team.

The Poland National Football team is classified in ‘Group C’, with strong competitors like Saudi Arabia, Argentina and Mexico. According to the schedule of the FIFA World Cup, their first match is on 22 November 2022 against Mexico.

Team of Poland

The Poland National Football team, which is often referred to as Biało-czerwoni (The White and Red), and Orły (The Eagles) is said to be controlled by the Polish Football Association (PZPN). The PZPN is, however, considered as the governing body for football in Poland. Over the years, the team has successfully represented Poland in various Men’s international football competitions. Currently, the team is led by their head coach, Czesław Michniewicz. According to reports, the team has successfully competed in around eight FIFA World Cups.

Poland is said to make their first appearance in the World Cup tournament of 1938. During the World Cup editions of 1974 and 1982, the team registered excellent outcomes by achieving bronze medals in both the editions. Moreover, that era (1974-1982) is by far regarded as the golden era of Polish international football. However, their best results during the UEFA European Championship were when they successfully reached the quarter-finals stages in 2016.

Overall, the team’s best ever result in an international football tournament was when they won the gold medal during the 1972 Munich Olympic. They also registered  the silver medal to their names at the 1976 Montreal Olympic, and at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic. Furthermore, Poland competed in four European Championships since their debut in 2008. However, after their disappointing performance at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the captain along with his team members are all set to go again and deliver a stronger performance at this year’s edition. They are expected to bounce back and retain their position this time.
