On the latest episode of WWE RAW, Finn Balor went backstage and told General Manager Adam Pearce that he wanted a spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Pearce shocked him by saying the match was already full and there was no place left for him.
Balor did not look worried. Instead, he hinted that his story was not finished yet. This opened the door for a new idea. He could attack another wrestler and take their place in the Rumble to make his own way into the match in Saudi Arabia.

4. Je’Von Evans
Je’Von Evans recently suffered a real shoulder injury during WWE RAW in Belfast on January 19. His match was stopped, and doctors helped him to the back. Even though he is expected to be part of the Rumble, he may not be fully fit.
WWE could use this moment in the story. Finn Balor could attack Evans backstage and take his place in the Rumble. This would give Balor a clean reason to enter the match and keep Evans safe from pushing his injury too far.
3. Damian Priest
Damian Priest and Finn Balor share a long and bitter history. Their issues grew after SummerSlam 2024, when Balor cost Priest the World Heavyweight Championship in his match against Gunther. Even though they are now on different brands, the bad blood is still there.
Priest recently picked his Rumble entry number on SmackDown and did not look happy with it. If he is set to enter early, Balor could attack him on the stage and take his spot. This would restart their rivalry and add more heat to the road to WrestleMania.
2. Dominik Mysterio
Dominik Mysterio has been away from WWE TV for weeks due to an injury. There is still no clear update on whether he will compete in the Rumble this year.
Finn Balor could use this moment to strike. He could attack Dominik and take his place in the match. This could also be the final break inside The Judgment Day, ending their long run as a group and setting up a personal feud between Balor and Mysterio.
1. Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio was injured on WWE RAW this week during his match against Austin Theory. He was helped to the back by medical staff, which raised questions about his Rumble status.
Even though the injury does not seem serious, WWE could turn this into a story. Finn Balor could attack Rey backstage and replace him in the Rumble. This would protect the veteran from more stress and give Balor a strong and dramatic way to enter the match.
