2025 FISU Winter Games, Torino: Missing games

It is to be noted that not every Olympic sport is staged at the FISU Games. On the other hand,  the FISU Games can also include sports which do not feature in the Olympics.

At FISU Winter Games Torino 2025, there will be no sliding sports (bobsleigh, luge, skeleton, neither ski jumping nor speed.

Para Alpine skiing and para cross-country skiing events will make their debut, while ski orienteering, a non-Olympic sport, will return for its second appearance at the FISU Winter Games.

List of events within each sport has also shrunk. For instance, competition will not feature downhill Alpine skiing races and only three figure skating events will take place instead of the five at the Olympic Games, dropping the pairs and team events.
