Wales Football team Captain Gareth Bale has hailed the 1-0 win over Czech Republic as massive and has commended the efforts of Wales caretaker coach Robert Page for keeping the team focused despite off-the-field distractions.

Dan James hooks onto Gareth Bale’s splendid cross for an important win in World Cup Qualifying Group E; the two sides finished with 10 men after Patrik Schick was shown a straight red for raising arm to Connor Roberts, who later got a subsequent yellow.

“It was a massive result, we didn’t get off to the best start against Belgium, so it was massively important to get the win,” said the Wales Captain.

Wales missed many close encounters in the first half of the game.

“It was very chaotic, especially second half, but we were ready and kept going until the end and the most important thing is to get that winner.” said Bale.

The victory comes at an important time for Wales, who were thrashed by the Belgium 3-1 in the opening game of World Cup qualifiers.
