A major free agent has sparked speculation about joining WWE and rekindling his past feud with Bloodline member and SmackDown star Jacob Fatu. Alex Hammerstone, a former Major League Wrestling (MLW) champion, dropped a subtle yet intriguing hint that has wrestling fans buzzing with excitement.
Hammerstone and Fatu’s Intense MLW Rivalry
Hammerstone and Fatu clashed multiple times in MLW between 2021 and 2023, delivering some of the most intense matches in the promotion’s history. Their chemistry inside the ring made their battles unforgettable, showcasing Fatu’s power and Hammerstone’s resilience.
While Fatu moved to WWE and became a key part of the Bloodline, Hammerstone took his talents to TNA. However, with his TNA contract now expired, the powerhouse wrestler is officially a free agent, and fans are eager to see where he lands next.

The 34-year-old recently posted a picture of himself facing off against Fatu in the ring, without any caption. But even without words, the message was loud and clear- this rivalry might not be over just yet.
Fans quickly picked up on the hint, fueling speculation that Hammerstone could be WWE-bound. Could we see these two collide once again, but this time on a grander stage like WWE?
Did Hammerstone Already Get a Taste of WWE?
Interestingly, Hammerstone made a brief appearance in NXT in September 2024, competing in a couple of matches as part of WWE’s ongoing talent-sharing agreement with TNA. This means WWE has already had a close look at him, making his potential signing even more realistic.

Meanwhile, wrestling analyst Vince Russo recently shared his thoughts on the chaotic brawl between Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman on SmackDown. Speaking on Sportskeeda’s BroDown, Russo was critical of the segment, calling it uncoordinated and suggesting that Strowman might not have been fully committed to working with Fatu.
“Man, that exchange was just messy. I got the feeling like Strowman didn’t want to work with him. It looked unorganized, and I think it actually hurt Fatu’s momentum,” Russo remarked.
Despite the criticism, the fiery confrontation between Fatu and Strowman hints at a potential feud between the two giants in the near future.
