Indian Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane turns 33 today. The man has never been too much into the face but has delivered whenever India was in a spot of bother. Ajinkya Rahane was born on June 06, 1988. Happy birthday to the karate kid.

Rahane captained in Kohli’s absence during India’s 2020-21 tour of Australia. Kohli was on paternity leave after the first Test on the Australia tour, where India was all-out for just 36 in the second innings. India lost that match. Rahane took the responsibility for this very tough situation, led India in the remaining three Tests of the series. He steered India to a thrilling 2-1 Test series win.
Rahane is in England with Team India preparing for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand in Southampton to be played from June 18.
