There comes a point in your life when you have to make some difficult choices and go forward. “I’ve been intending to make this announcement for a few years, but I’ve been waiting for the proper time to tell you all: today, I’m retiring from all forms of cricket,” he stated. “I had already resigned from cricket in many ways, but I hadn’t been allowed to make a formal declaration.”

“I haven’t played cricket in a long time.” However, I had made a commitment to the Kolkata Knight Riders and planned to spend the IPL season (2021) with them. However, I had made up my mind to retire during the season.”
