Hardik Pandya has impressed one and all with his latest performance against Pakistan. The all-rounder scalped three vital wickets in the first innings giving India an edge early in the game. And then contributed with the bat to seal the victory. Pandya scored an impactful 33* off just 17 to help India claim the nail-biting clash. Hardik, moreover, adorned the victory as he finished it off with a six.

Ever since then, the star all-rounder has become the talk of the town with fans all over hailing him. Pandya has been in terrific form recently. He captained the debutant team Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 and led the team towards their maiden victory. And is now delivering banging performances in the international fixtures too.

However, his current form is his comeback from a forgetful time period. Pandya suffered a back injury in the 2018 Asia Cup and was stuck in a loop of recovery and rehabilitation since then. The following years up until 2022 saw Pandya suffering in the game. The injury caused him to refrain from bowling, thus limiting his abilities. Moreover, his limitations affected the Indian side in the T20 World Cup last year.

Hardik Pandya talks about his comeback to form

Now, as the fans chant his name and the saga of his unmatched redemption to form, Pandya talked about it recently. He credited former Indian captain, MS Dhoni, for most of his improved game.

“I was just a new kid trying to learn new things about life and sport. MS Dhoni has played a big role in my growth. Whenever I got an opportunity, I used to observe him and learn things. The kind of mindset and knowledge he had, just observing it, it has reflected in my personality on the field,” said Hardik.

“It was about owning my mistakes, taking my chances, failing and learning from them. Sometimes it is failures that teach you, not your closest confide, not your aide and to a good extent even Mahi bhai (Dhoni). Some failures you just experience and you learn from them,” he added.

“The way things shaped (up), I cannot put this all in words. It was a learning phase for me,” he said while talking about his comeback in the game.
