While birthday greetings continue to stream in for Hardik Pandya, his India teammates organized a cake-cutting ceremony for the all-rounder on Tuesday, October 11. Even as India prepares for the T20 World Cup, Hardik and his colleagues were in Perth early in the morning for the cake-cutting ceremony.
On a bright morning in Perth, Hardik Pandya posed for pictures with the Board of Control for Cricket in India while wearing a dark blue jacket and blue pants. Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, Rahul Dravid, Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batsman, and R Ashwin, the off-spinner, were just a few of the numerous people who showed up to make Hardik’s birthday morning special.
As he cut the cake and enjoyed his 29th birthday celebration, Hardik appeared at ease and joyful. Following his comeback from a protracted injury layoff in the IPL 2022, Hardik has been in the best shape of his life. As he led Gujarat Titans to the IPL title in their inaugural season in the lucrative T20 tournament, Hardik enjoyed a dream run in IPL 2022.
Since he was re-inducted into the T20I squad, the all-rounder has been in great form with the bat and the ball. He has 436 runs scored in 19 games at a strike rate of over 150 and an average of over 30.
With a few half-centuries and game-winning cameos, Pandya reaffirmed that, when healthy, he is indispensable to the squad for his bowling, fielding, and now, leadership abilities in addition to his batting. Since re-joining the Indian team, Hardik has struck out 151 times, and his maturity, patience, and composure are unmatched.
Hardik has bowled some impressive stints with the ball as well. Although Hardik, the fourth seamer in the line-up, has an economy rate of 8.65, indicating that he has gone for runs, his overs will be essential for the Indian team, given the flat and bouncy fields in Australia.
