IND vs SA, T20 World Cup 2024 Final: Harsha Bhogle Slammed Virat Kohli Haters For Trolling Him In Tough Time

Harsha Bhogle Slammed Virat Kohli Haters For Trolling Him In Tough Time: The Indian cricket team is all set to lock horns against South Africa in the final clash of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, which is scheduled to take place at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday, June 29th.

Virat Kohli Has Been Struggling To Score Runs

The Men in Blue are just one step away from lifting the prestigious ICC trophy after a wait of 17 long years. Unbeaten in the tournament so far, many experts believe that the Rohit Sharma-led side has been the best team in the ongoing tournament so far. The team that used to be all about one or two superstars, has displayed immense strength, with different players producing match-winning performances in different situations in different matches.

Leading up to the final clash of the ongoing tournament against South Africa, the Indian team has performed amazingly, defeating the pre-tournament favorites Australia and England in consecutive matches.

While the team has been looking perfect in all three aspects of the game, there is one big upset for Indian cricket lovers around the world.

Harsha Bhogle Slammed Virat Kohli Haters For Trolling Him In Tough Time

Virat Kohli, who has been the heart of Indian cricket for two decades, has been struggling with his form off-lately. He was in a stellar-form, a month back, for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League. He won the Orange Cap in the IPL 2024, after having scored 741 runs at an average of 61.75 and a strike rate of 154.69.

However, the star batter has failed to perform for the Indian cricket team throughout the ongoing marquee tournament. Kohli scored just 75 runs in seven games at an average of 10.71 and a strike rate of 100 in the ongoing marquee tournament.

Out of these seven innings, Kohli has gone into the double-digit score on only two occasions, against Afghanistan and Bangladesh, scoring 24 and 37 respectively. He has been dismissed for a duck twice and scored 9, 4, and 1 in the remaining 3 innings. In the semi-final clash against England, Kohli failed to impress his fans once again as his bat went quiet, as he got out for nine off nine balls.

Meanwhile, as Kohli is struggling to find his rhythm, he has been receiving criticism from all corners for his back-to-back poor performances. In fact, after India’s win in the semi-final match, some fans instead of celebrating India’s victory, started abusing and slamming Virat Kohli for his poor knock.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma

Amidst all this, Indian commentator Harsha Bhogle took to his social media and slammed the haters for pulling Virat Kohli down. He wrote:

“Sometimes there is very angry and vicious banter from fan clubs on social media. When a player is down is the time to show your class.”

“And this is the time to get behind Virat Kohli who could well produce a match-winning performance in the final. But irrespective, this is the time to rally around.”

Check out the Tweet:

Well, we agree with Harsha Bhogle. This is the time to support the Indian side and Indian players. Kohli has been one of the biggest match-winners for the Indian cricket team for over a decade. He has given the fans countless memories to cherish, and now with our team in the final, fans should actually come out and support him.
