Harshit Rana’s Dream Debut: Shines With 3 Wicket Haul

Harshit Rana has been playing domestic cricket for the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the past year. In the little career time he’s had, he has proved to be a significant rising cricket icon. He was joint-fourth wicket-taker at the IPL 2204 with 19 wickets in 13 matches.

He made his ODI debut on 6 February against England in Nagpur after he was chosen over Arshdeep Singh. Rana created history by taking 3 wickets in his debut match for 53 runs in 7 overs. He struggled initially as Phil Salt hit 26 runs including 3 sixes and 3 fours.

However, the 23-year-old bowling all-rounder came back stronger than ever and dismissed Ben Duckett, Harry Brook and Liam Livingstone. He now holds the record for being the first Indian Bowler to claim three wickets on debut in either format.

He also became a topic of sensation after bowling his first maiden over in his debut match. He gave 11 runs in his first over but bowled a maiden over against batsman Phil Salt.
