Has Arsenal added Tchouameni to their transfer list?

Arsenal has been really busy in the summer transfer window. They already have completed the signing of German attacking Midfielder/Forward, Kai Havertz from Chelsea. They are the front runners in the race of signing West Ham captain Declan Rice as they have submitted a £105 million deal to the UEFA Conference League winners club. But has Mikel Arteta added Aurelian Tchouameni to their transfer list for this window?

With Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey expected to leave the North London club, Arteta is expected to strengthen the mid-field department with the 23-year-old midfielder from Real Madrid.

Aurelian Tchouameni

Tchoumeni has struggled for time at Real Madrid and with the arrival of Jude Bellingham for €103m he is expected to fall further in the pecking order. Real Madrid already has some of the best midfielders in the squad. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos have solidified the mid-field for Los Blancos for a long time. Fede Valverde in the last few years has been a great addition to the duo. Tchouameni even falls behind French teammate Eduardo Camavinga in the pecking order. The 23-year-old was great with the France team in the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

Tchouameni to Arsenal?

Arsenal reportedly are linked with the midfielder from Los Blancos. If Xhaka and Partey leave the club then they can use the money generated with the sale of the two players to fund Tchouameni’s purchase. The 14-time Champions League winner might be ready to loan the midfielder in order to get him some first-team minutes. But it is reported that Arsenal will be interested in Tchouameni only if they fail to sign Moises Caicedo or Romeo Lavia.

Arsenal mid-field department

Arsenal already has a great mid-field department. Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith Rowe and Jorginho were already a potent mid-field trio. These three will be joined by Kai Havertz as an attacking midfielder and even Declan Rice by the look of things. Odegaard is another Real Madrid player who joined Arsenal. He joined Arsenal on a mid-season loan in the 2020-21 season and the North London club completed the signing in August 2021.

Tchouameni at Real Madrid

Real Madrid sees Tchouameni as a potential replacement for someone like Casemiro who joined Manchester United after leaving Real Madrid. But the lack of minutes on the field is something that the French midfielder would like to change. It will be tough to persuade someone from Real Madrid but Arteta along with Arsenal has shown signs of pulling targets to their club.
