Ind vs Eng: On Tuesday, Indian Captain Virat Kohli spoke to the media in the virtual pre-match conference. All the questions were answered by him with a straight face only. He didn’t feel irritated for any wrong kinds of questions too. Virat spoke freely about Indian seamer Mohammed Siraj and the way he has been playing so far.
Following Siraj’s debut, he has been in really good form. His ability to pin down the batsman for a long time is noteworthy. He has made his presence felt with the pace attack he brings to the Indian squad.
Virat Kohli said,’ I was not surprised at all (with his rise) because I have seen him from close quarters. He is a guy who has always had the skill’
Furthermore, the captain added that’ You need the confidence to back that skill, the Australian series provided him with that boost and confidence.’
Former England fast bowler Steve Harmison has nick-named Siraj – Duracell Battery for the kind of performance he has had.
Kohli has been all praise of Siraj’s confidence. He also added that Mohammed Siraj doesn’t believe in taking a backward step. He is going to be looking in your face and trying to get players out and will not be scared about that.
Virat Kohli discussed this on the eve of the third test against England. The match is set to begin on 25th August from 3.30 PM IST live from the Headingley Stadium.
