Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. Indian team are continuously playing cricket after IPL 2022 and now the second team of India will be heading to Zimbabwe for the 3-match ODI series against them. This three match series against Zimbabwe will start from 18th of this month ahead of Asia Cup 2022.
India have named their squad and fans are pretty happy to see Virat Kohli back in the squad of the Asia Cup. But some of the fans are not happy to see that Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan is not been included in this squad. Former New Zealand cricketer Scott Styris also feels Ishan Kishan could have been in the Indian squad for the upcoming Asia Cup.
Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan are at the top position in scoring runs in T20Is in the year 2022 for team India. Both of them have been dropped by BCCI.
“I guess it’s unlucky for Ishan Kishan, he’s got that left-handed ability which I think they’d have loved to have got into the squad. I think he’ll be disappointed and naturally, he’s a terrific player,” said Scott Styris via Sports18.
