The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup has witnessed some great bowling performances to challenge the assumption that batsmen are mostly in control of the T20 format of cricket. Smaller boundaries have tipped the balance in favor of the batsmen. But bowlers have managed to steal the show with some incredible performances. Here are some of the best bowling figures in the T20 World Cup.

Ajantha Mendis (6/8 vs Zimbabwe in 2012)

Ajantha Mendis, a mysterious spinner from Sri Lanka, has the greatest bowling figure in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup’s history with 6/8. In the 2012 T20 World Cup against Zimbabwe, he accomplished the feat. Mendis’ outstanding bowling performance enabled Sri Lanka to successfully defend their 183-run target. They won by a commanding 82 runs.
