Himanshu Sangwan is playing for the Railways in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. He took Virat Kohli’s wicket on 31 January 2025 in a match against Delhi. Virat Kohli returned after 13 years in the Ranji Trophy and fans could not contain their excitement.

The former ticket collector was born on 28 September 1995. He was a ticket collector at the New Delhi Railway Station which started his career in cricket. and debuted in 2019 for Railways in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and soon after he made his Ranji Trophy debut against Uttar Pradesh.

So far he has played 23 first-class matches and has an impeccable record of 77 wickets and is a fast-paced baller. He first got into the limelight for taking the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane in 2019 against Mumbai. He has played 7 T20s and taken 5 wickets since his debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and 17 wickets to his name in List A matches. The cricketer recently revealed that he has been getting tips from his idol Glen McGrath who is a former Australian cricket star.
