Hockey India has unveiled the highly anticipated 20-member Sub Junior Men and Women squads set to embark on their inaugural international tour to the Netherlands from October 9 to October 16. This significant milestone not only underscores the burgeoning talent in Indian hockey but also enhances the country’s reputation on the global hockey map.

The tour represents a historic moment for the Indian Sub Junior Men and Women’s Teams as they venture into international competition, showcasing their skills and determination. This journey marks an essential step in their development as they aspire to become future stalwarts of Indian hockey.

During this prestigious tour, the Indian Sub Junior Men’s Team will engage in challenging battles against the Netherlands Boys U18 team and the Netherlands Boys U16 team, with two games scheduled against each opponent.

Simultaneously, the Indian Sub Junior Women’s Team will exhibit their prowess against the Netherlands Girls U18 team and the Netherlands Girls U16 team, competing in two matches against each adversary.

Additionally, both the Indian Sub Junior Men and Women’s Teams will have the unique opportunity to test their mettle against senior club teams from the Netherlands, adding another layer of valuable experience to their international exposure.

The leadership roles within the teams have been entrusted to promising players. Manmeet Singh Rai will captain the Indian Sub Junior Men’s Team, while Aashu Maurya will serve as Vice Captain. For the Indian Sub Junior Women’s Team, Bhavya will lead as Captain, with Rajni Kerketta appointed as Vice Captain.

Coaches of the Sub Junior Men and Women’s Teams expressed their enthusiasm and optimism about this landmark tour.
