3 Min Read

The FIH Hockey Pro League 2025-26 season is set to be held from December 9 to June 28, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) announced on Monday. This will be the seventh edition of the league in which a total of 144 matches will be played across 10 countries.

The season will open simultaneously in Ireland and Argentina. Germany will take on Belgium men in the season opener in Ireland while action will continue in Argentina later in the day with men’s champions Netherlands clash with League debutants Pakistan.

This season introduces two newcomers – Ireland women and Pakistan men – both promoted via the Nations Cup.

Pakistan’s entry comes after New Zealand, the 2024-25 Nations Cup winners, declined their spot. As runners-up, Pakistan accepted the invitation and will feature for the first time in the Pro League.

The highly-anticipated men’s India vs Pakistan hockey clashes at the FIH Hockey Pro League 2025-26 are slated for June in England.

The league culminates on June 28, with matches played in Belgium, Germany and England on the final day – featuring six women’s and six men’s teams.

The FIH Pro League also serves as a qualification pathway for the LA 2028 Olympics.
