Former Hyderabad fast bowler Ashwin Yadav died of a heart attack on Saturday. He was 33. He is survived by his wife and three sons. Ashwin Yadav, who made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2007 against Punjab in Mohali, played 14 first-class matches and took 34 wickets. He did his best against Delhi in the 2008-09 season at Uppal Stadium, taking six wickets for 52 runs.

Fielding coach of the Indian team R Sridhar expressed grief over the death of Yadav. He tweeted, ‘Sad to hear the news of Ashwin Yadav’s demise. He was very cheerful and totally a ‘team man’. I will pray to God to give strength to his family. om Shanti. Will miss you.

Former Hyderabad opener Daniel Manohar, who captained  Yadav for SBH in local matches, said he was too young to die. “He always enjoyed his cricket and an aggressive fast bowler. It is shocking news because he was always a fitness fanatic. It is sad he is no more,’’ said Manohar.
