” I hope my story resonates with people,” said du Plessis. “Hopefully I’m remembered as someone who was South African through and through. I gave as long as I could for my country. I put my own needs after the teams. People maybe don’t know that to be the case, but I’m hoping that my actions speak that story,” thecricketmonthly.com quotes Faf as saying.

Notably, Faf Du Plessis holds many brilliant records. One of them is that he has smashed over 11,198 international runs in ODI’s. Only three players namely, Virat, Taylor, and Rohit are ahead of him in terms of average among batters with more than 1000 runs according to thecricketmonthly.com.
