“I like playing aggressively and batting up the order,” says Deepak Hooda on his first T20I century

Deepak Hooda was named player of the match in the second T20I against Ireland.

Indian cricket team beat Ireland by 4 runs in the second T20I at The Village stadium, Dublin on Tuesday night, 28th June. It was a close game which ended on a last ball. Indian team played well in this two-match T20Is especially with the bat. Indian batter Deepak Hooda was named ‘Player of the match’ in this second T20I against Ireland because of his wonderful century which came in just 55 balls.

Deepak was on fire on Tuesday as he hit 9 boundaries and 6 sixes in his inning. Deepak Hooda also opened up about his batting style after the game when he was given ‘Player of the match’ award. He (Deepak Hooda) was not only the player of the match but also the player of the series. It was Hardik Pandya’s first series as captain of Indian team and it ended with a very good note for him. Hardik Pandya in his post-match interview also praised Deepak Hooda and the debutant in this series named Umran Malik.

“I am coming from a good IPL. I was trying to follow up the same performance here as well. I like playing aggressively. Batting up the order, I have the time. I try to play according to the situation. I am happy for Sanju as well,” said Deepak Hooda after he smashed a wonderful century in the second T20I.
