The Super 8 matches of the T20 World Cup 2026 are currently underway. Meanwhile, the ICC has released the new T20I rankings, which reflect several significant changes.
Some bowlers have made significant strides thanks to their impressive performances, while India’s spinner has retained his number-one position. So, let’s find out which players have risen and which have lost ground in the T20I rankings.
ICC Rankings: Varun remains at number one
Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy remains at the top of the T20I bowlers’ rankings. He proved a bit expensive in the match against South Africa, but his top position remained unaffected. He remains at the top with 790 rating points.
South African fast bowler Corbin Bosch has gained the most in this ranking. He took three wickets against the UAE and then took two wickets for just 12 runs against India. This impressive performance has seen him jump 21 places to third.
Rashid also managed to hold his position
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains in second place. England’s Adil Rashid is at fourth. Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed has dropped two places and is now at fifth. Australia’s Adam Zampa has moved up two places to sixth.
Bumrah reaches eighth place
West Indies fast bowler Matthew Ford has made a significant jump of 23 places to seventh place. India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has also jumped seven places to eighth place.
