Ichiban Samurai celebrated their second triumph in the fifth Pro Tennis League (PTL) by securing a convincing victory over Indraprastha Warriors at the DLTA Complex. Meanwhile, Sankara Stag Babolat Yoddhas made a strong comeback with a resounding 30-point win against Lucknow Aviators, showcasing a stellar performance in the PTL.
Paramount Proec Tigers claimed the top spot in Group B standings after a dominating win over DMG Delhi Crusaders in the evening session. In another notable match, Mumbai Acers displayed clinical efficiency in their victory over Gurgaon Sapphires.
With two days of thrilling tennis action, Group B appears nearly decided, with Paramount Proec Tigers and Sankara Stag Babolat Yoddhas securing the top two positions comfortably. The focus now shifts to determining the group leader, with just three points separating the two sides.
In Group A, Indraprastha Warriors and Ichiban Warriors swapped places at the top of the standings. Ichiban Samurai currently holds the pole position, with a narrow five-point lead over Indraprastha Warriors (159 points), Gurgaon Sapphires (155 points), and Mumbai Acers (154 points).

The standout performance of the day came from Sankara Stag Babolat Yoddhas, who outplayed Lucknow Aviators 95-65. Notably, Arjun Kadhe’s convincing victory against Anirudh Chandrasekar contributed significantly to the team’s success. Sankara Stag Babolat Yoddhas now lead by a remarkable 26 points after five matches, providing a substantial advantage as they vie for a spot in the semi-finals.
Ichiban Samurai continued their winning streak, securing their second consecutive win by defeating Indraprastha Warriors 89-71. Sahaja Yamalapalli’s impressive performance set the tone for Ichiban Samurai, maintaining their dominance in the league.
In the evening session, Paramount Proec Tigers demonstrated their prowess with a decisive win over DMG Delhi Crusaders, propelling them to the top of the Group B standings. The match saw an exceptional performance from Vishnu Vardhan and Parikshit Somani, securing a 24-6 victory and reshaping the final scoreline to 68-62.
As the competition progresses, the race for semi-final slots intensifies, promising more exciting matches in the days to come.
