The tenure of Ravi Shastri being India’s coach will conclude the upcoming T20 World Cup. The upcoming T20 world cup which was to be hosted in India has been shifted to UAE due to COVID-19 concerns. So, Rahul Dravid is the current head coach of the young team that is in Sri Lanka. Discussions are going on whether he could potentially take the role as India’s head coach after Shastri‘s tenure comes to an end.

No, one can dent the fact that the Indian team reached new heights under the guidance of Ravi Shastri. One of the recent stand-out being the Indian team has beaten Australia not once but twice in their backyard. And also the other thing is that India made it to the final of the inaugural World Test Championship. However, both Shastri and Kohli are yet to get their hands on an ICC trophy.

The Former Indian cricketer Reetinder Sodhi in the meantime taught that if India wins the upcoming T20 World Cup hosted in UAE. He felt Shastri going to continue as the coach of the team. Reetinder Sodhi said that “ This is speculative for sure. It will be wrong to say that Ravi Shastri has not performed well. He has done quite well but if the parameter is winning trophies, we have not done that. But if the Indian team wins the T20 World Cup, it will be impossible to remove Ravi Shastri “.

Reetinder also added that “ He has done a decent job earlier as well and winning the trophy, something we have been waiting for, I think the purpose will be filled. But at the end of the day, the way Rahul Bhai has gone to Sri Lanka s a coach and the board rejected the proposal of two additional batsmen, you get a somewhat different signal. If you ask me there is pressure on Ravi Bhai”.
