IND vs ENG Playing 11: Will India try Rishabh Pant or will KL Rahul do wicketkeeping? Know the possible playing 11

The Indian team will enter the field with the intention of solving the batting combination before the Champions Trophy starts on February 19. India has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against England and will be looking to test the bench strength in the third match on Wednesday. India has so far fielded KL Rahul as a wicketkeeper in both matches, but before the Champions Trophy, it may give a chance to Rishabh Pant.

India has performed well in all three departments

India has performed well in all three departments so far. The inclusion of spinner Varun Chakravarthy in the team and the return of fast bowler Mohammed Shami has strengthened India’s bowling attack. Captain Rohit Sharma returned to form by scoring 119 runs off 90 balls in the second ODI which is a good sign for India. India have made some changes in the batting order and sent spin all-rounder Axar Patel to bat before KL Rahul. This has been beneficial for India as Axar is capitalizing on the opportunity at this position, but Rahul has not been able to bat well at number six.

Rahul is struggling to score runs.

KL Rahul has not been able to perform as expected in batting so far. In such a situation, if India gives a chance to Rishabh Pant, then no one should be surprised. He is a left-handed batsman who can provide balance to the Indian team. Pant is included in India’s 15-member team for the Champions Trophy and the team management can give Pant a chance to practice matches before this ICC tournament. With Pant coming into the team, KL Rahul may have to sit out, who was handling the responsibility behind the wicket in the first two matches.

Good innings are expected from Shreyas-Kohli

Rohit may have returned to form, but star batsman Virat Kohli’s failure to score runs continues. Kohli did not play in the first match due to a knee injury, while he was out cheaply in the second match. India will also expect a good innings from Shreyas Iyer in the middle order. Sending all-rounder Akshar Patel to bat at number five has proved right so far. The left-handed batsman has scored 52 and an unbeaten 42 in the first two matches. Patel’s good batting performance would have reduced some pressure on Ravindra Jadeja, who has taken six wickets in the series so far. Indian players have performed well so far on wickets that help spin bowlers. They are likely to get similar conditions in Dubai in the Champions Trophy.

Kuldeep-Arshdeep may get a chance

England’s team has managed to get off to a good start in both matches, but the Indian bowling attack bowled tight in the middle overs. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Harshit Rana are handling the front with the new ball, but both the bowlers have not been able to trouble the England opening pair. Another fast bowler of the Indian team, Arshdeep Singh, who has been given a place in the team for the Champions Trophy, has not played in both matches so far. Arshdeep performed brilliantly in the T20 series against England and the team management can give him a chance in this match before the Champions Trophy. Arshdeep can make a place in the playing 11 in place of Harshit. At the same time, wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has played only one match in this series and he can also be given a chance in the XI in place of Varun Chakraborty.

The probable playing 11 of India and England for the third ODI match is as follows:

India: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja.

England: Phil Salt (wicketkeeper), Ben Duckett, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler (captain), Liam Livingstone, Jamie Overton, Gus Atkinson, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Saqib Mahmood.
