The Indian Skipper hasn’t had a great overwhelming performance in the recent past. He has failed to get an international ton ever since November 2019.  Virat Kohli scored just a total of 62 runs in two test matches in the ongoing game against England.

Speaking to ANI, Rajkumar Sharma said, “I know Virat has failed to convert his innings in the bigger one and has got out early. A lean patch is common in cricket but this is not Virat’s lean patch and he will be back soon with big innings,”

His coach also believes that the England bowlers have understood Virat’s style and are aware of his weaknesses.

In some of the recent pictures shared by the skipper today, he is seen hitting the gym and preparing hard for the upcoming games against England. His coach believes the same and is confident that Virat will be back with big innings very soon.

Meanwhile, Kumar was also all praises for the Indian bowling attack. He said, “We have a lovely pool of bowlers now. Those who can lead from the front, injury is common in fast bowling but we have a large pool of bowlers and a strong backup.”

The third test is scheduled to begin tomorrow and it will be interesting to see how both the teams play!
