KL Rahul’s 108 and Rishab pant’s 77 helped India post a strong total of 336 in front of the English team. Rahul played a cool and composed inning whereas Pant was totally in his mood to destroy the England bowlers. With a help of 7 sixes which is the most by an Indian player against England and 3 fours, pant contributed 77 in just 40 balls with a strike rate of 192.5. Rahul on the other hand started slowly as India lost the first 2 wickets in just 9 overs.

Rahul constructed his innings with captain Kohli and build a partnership of 121 to help India get out of the early blows of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Rishabh Pant’s 77 made it look so easy to bat. The 113 run partnership between Rahul and Pant lead India to post a good total of 336. Both of the batsmen departed by the bowler Tom Curran. Rahul showed his class and consistency in the ODIs as his form was questioned in the T20Is.
