Shubman Gill has continued to showcase his capabilities and batting skills in the One-Day Cricket Format. He has found a name for himself in the record books by becoming the Indian Cricketer to score 1000 runs in the ODI cricket in the fastest way. It took him only 19 innings to make the score. His record has broken the previous record that was made by Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan. These two cricketers took 24 innings to reach the 1000 runs mark. Gill has formed a brand-new milestone for the future cricketers to look forward to.

When it comes to the international record for the fastest 1000 runs scores, Gill is very close to Pakistan’s Imam-Ul-Haq who scored 1000 runs in 18 innings. Gill made the record on the fourth ball of the 33rd over. A boundary was hit which made him form the record and reach 1000 runs.

Gill has also become the second fastest Indian batter to have scored three centuries in ODI Cricket.
