South Africa took over the 3rd T20I after defeating India by 49 Runs. But a big achievement for team India as they managed to win the series by 2-1. Team India chose to bowl on winning the toss. Dinesh Karthik managed to score the maximum, by attaining 46 off 21 deliveries. While others like Deepak Chahar, who scored 31 off 17 deliveries and Rishabh Pant made it 27 runs by 14 deliveries. Also, the other players managed to perform well, by scoring 178 in 18.3 overs for team India. The match was held on Holkar Stadium, Indore.
South African player, Rilee Rossouw’s extraordinary contribution helped the team in this achievement by scoring a century. Rilee managed to score 100 off 48 deliveries. Along with him, another cricketer Quinton de Kock contributed towards the victory by scoring 68 off 43 deliveries. Besides Rossouw and De Kock, Tristan Stubbs as well David Miller contributed towards the victory. Tristan managed to score 23 off 18 deliveries, while Miller scored 19 not out of 5 balls.
However, other players of team India like Harshal Patel who managed reaching 17 off 12 deliveries, Umesh Yadav by scoring 20 not out of 17 deliveries tried to give their best. But it wasn’t enough as the opposition seems to provide them a very tough competition. But Umesh Yadav along with Deepak Chahar helped to take over the maximum wickets for team India.
Moreover, there were changes in the team players due to some reasons. As it was revealed prior by the Indian Team Captain, Rohit Sharma that Arshadeep Singh won’t be a part of the 3rd T20I as a result of mild injury. Also, the former Captain Virat Kohli and the current Vice Captain will not be taking part in the match. It was quite a competitive and interesting match, as South Africa seems to have bounced back after they were defeated at 2nd T20I match, which took place on 2nd of October 2022.
