India continued their phenomenal home Test record with another dominant show against the West Indies in the recent IND vs WI Test series. From unbeaten record runs to individual achievements, the series saw a number of record-breaking moments. Below is a comprehensive rundown of the major statistics from the series.

India Level South Africa with Most Consecutive Series Wins Against One Opponent

10 successive series victories: India have now won 10 successive Test series over West Indies, beginning from 2002, tying South Africa’s 10-0 string against West Indies (since 1998).

This is India’s longest winning streak against any team in Test cricket. 27-Test Unbeaten Streak Against West Indies: India has now maintained a 27-Test unbeaten run against West Indies, their record-longest unbeaten run against a single opponent. India last lost a Test to WI in 2002.

Fortress Delhi: 14-Test Unbeaten Run at the Arun Jaitley Stadium

India are unbeaten in their previous 14 Tests in Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, since 1993. 12 wins and 2 draws during this run. The last Test loss in Delhi came in 1987, also against West Indies. This run has now surpassed Mohali and Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium for India’s longest unbeaten streak at a single venue.

Dhruv Jurel: A Winning Start In IND vs WI

7 Test wins: Dhruv Jurel has been part of seven consecutive Test wins since his debut in early 2024 against England in Rajkot. He broke Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s (6 wins) record for most Test wins by an Indian on debut.

India Lose Only 13 Wickets in Series – All-Time Low

India lost just 13 wickets throughout the series, their lowest in a two-Test series victory. India last managed this against Zimbabwe in 2000, again losing only 13 wickets.

India Third on Most Home Test Wins Now

India now stand at 122 home Test wins, surpassing South Africa (121). Australian (262) and England (241) are the only two teams to have won more Tests at home.

West Indies End Drought with Bat but Remain Short

First 300+ Total in 8 Tests. WI made 390 in the first innings, their opening 300+ score in 2025.

It was also their first:

100+ stand

Batter’s century

Innings exceeding 80 overs

Their last 300+ mark was against Bangladesh in 2024.

John Campbell’s First Century at Last

Campbell’s first-ever Test century came in his 50th innings. Among West Indies batsmen, only Ridley Jacobs (56) and Denesh Ramdin (52) took longer to get their first hundreds. Among Test openers globally, South Africa’s Trevor Goddard alone took longer 59 innings.

Campbell is also the initial WI batter to notch a century in 2025. Shai Hope Brings an End to 2968-Day Wait for Test Century Hope notched his third Test century, almost eight years (2968 days) since his second one that was in Leeds in 2017.

He now maintains the longest gap between two Test centuries by any West Indian, replacing Gordon Greenidge (2204 days). This was Hope’s return after a four-year absence from Test cricket.
