The Board Cricket Control Of India (BCCI) has announced 15 men’s Squad for Ireland and England. The BCCI took some decisions which fans were not even expecting. Some of the players have done exceptional jobs but did not get India’s call, he is none other than Two time IPL winning captain Rajat Patidar. He has done a phenomenal job as a captain and player as well but, he did not get a BCCI call-up for the Indian team squad. The man who led RCB in two finals and won consecutive trophies for his franchises got ignored  by the seniors men’s selection committee. 

Why was Patidar not picked?

The Board Cricket Control of India has announced their men’s squad for the upcoming Series against Ireland and England and Asian games but RCB’s skipper Rajat Patidar name was nowhere in the squad. Despite being picked in the men’s squad for the upcoming assignment. The selection committee has totally ignored him, when Ajit Agarkar asked about not picking Rajat patidar, he answered not all deserving can be picked in a 15 members squad.

Rajat Patidar in IPL

Rajat patidar had a beautiful season so far and he is playing beautifully from the past couple of seasons. Patidar played 17 matches this season and scored 501 runs with the deadly batting strike rate 192.89. Overall he hit 30 boundaries and 42 sixes  makes him one of the explosive batsmen of all time. Instead of Rajat Patidar the selection committee trusted on Shivam Dubey and Tilak Verma. Even though they chose Tilak Verma as vice captain of India. 

Patidar joined elite list of Dhoni and Rohit 

Rajat Patidar created history after MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, he became a third captain in the history of the Indian Premier League to win two consecuetive IPL title in the history of this league. CSK, MI and RCB hold this remarkable feat and Patidar became one of the most succesful captain of IPL history.

Shreyas Iyer (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (WK), Ishan Kishan (WK), Shivam Dube, Tilak Varma (VC), Varun Chakravarthy, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar,  Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Harshit Rana, Ravi Bishnoi.
